But despite the creepy clown thing, I’m slowly learning how to juggle some of this mess with a big, fat smile on my face because all of these happenings are just so darn EXCITING! I’m still dropping a few balls here and there – this blog post, for example, which I promised you last week – but I’ll get things together eventually...maybe...okay, so probably never, but let’s move on anyway, shall we?
Remember how I told you I had another signing event coming up? Well this is it!
Signing day is Saturday, March 29th from 10am – 5pm, but there are several other events to attend over the weekend, if you’re interested. You can check out the website at http://thenovelexperienceevent.blogspot.com/ for more details.
There is no cost to attend the signing on Saturday, but if you’d like to try out the other events and parties, there are VIP tickets available that get you up close and personal with the authors. Exciting stuff, right? Sign this fangirl UP!
But here is the best part, ladies and gents. Are you ready? Honestly, I'm not sure you will ever be ready for this kind of awesomeness, but I hate to leave you hangin'.
Since I know most of you purchase my books for the covers alone, I am SO HAPPY to tell you that my dear friend Kara with Kara’s Kreative will be attending this event with me. How cool is that?! Kara will be with me all weekend, making me look good and probably gathering business like a mad woman, once everyone gets a peek at her talent. I could not be more excited or proud to have her by my side, and for those of you who have never met Ms. Kara, please do yourself a favor and stop by to see us at this event. You won't be sorry. Trust me.
I'll be sending out several more updates as the event approaches, but please go ahead and mark your calendars for me? I hope to see you there!
Just in case everyone thought I had given up on this writing biz, I thought I’d better give you an update on the next release.
As excited as I am about it, I don’t want to give away too much quite yet. For one thing, I haven’t finished writing it, which means some things (or everything) is subject to change. But I can give you a few tidbits…
I’ve decided to make a stand-alone series out of my first book, You Never Know. The series will be called “The Fangirl Series”, and my next release is going to be Sydney’s story. Sydney was actually my favorite character in You Never Know, so I’ve really enjoyed spending some quality time with her. I can't wait to share her story with you.
I will tell you that the “fangirl” theme will continue throughout this series (in case the series name didn't give that one away), but I can also tell you that family, friendships and the lovely message of “hope” will also be carried over to each of these stories. These four women have become good friends of mine, and I look forward to giving them the love and happy endings they deserve.
As of right now, I plan to have Sydney’s story out either April or May 2014. I will have more details to you ASAP, including the title and a couple of teasers, so be on the lookout!
There’s nothing fancy going on here. I just wanted to make sure on my list of important things to tell you today, this one ranked.
I love writing, and I don’t see myself growing tired of it any time soon. But there are definitely moments when I wonder if it’s worth it. Mostly I start to feel guilty, thinking I should be doing other things with my time that will better benefit me and my family. But guess who keeps me coming back? You. That’s who.
I may not be the best writer in the world, but I have the best readers in the world. I know in my heart I was meant to do this, and I want to thank you for reminding me of that fact. Every single day. I don’t know what I would do without you.
Love and hope,
